Welcome to True Insight Direct Care! I'm excited you've joined our office and grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your health journey.

To get started, please follow these simple steps (if you haven't already!):

Step 1: Download the App
Download the SigmaMD app on your smartphone (available in the App Store or Google Play). This is your portal for messaging, scheduling, and accessing information about your care. 

Step 2: Use Your Invite Code
Check your email for your personalized invite code and follow the instructions to complete your enrollment. If you didn’t receive the code, let us know—we’re happy to resend it!

Step 3: Schedule Your New Patient Visit
Please schedule your initial visit so we can get a complete baseline of your health. This helps us better tailor your care moving forward. This can be in-office or telehealth! You can book your appointment right in the app, but don’t hesitate to call if you need help!

Of note: telehealth visits are conducted through the app. There is no link sent in advance. At the time of your appointment, I’ll start the video visit and you’ll get a text message with a link. Once you click that link, it’ll open the video visit in the app! No worries if it doesn’t go as planned! I’ll call you if all else fails! 

Step 4: Share Other Records with Our Office
Within the app, you can allow the platform to connect with other health systems to import data such as labs, past medical history, procedures, medications, allergies, etc. You can choose the particular categories that are released. This can help facilitate onboarding (no worries, I will verify everything for accuracy and completeness!

Step 5: Share Your Insurance Information
Although all of your care within the office is part of your membership benefits, we need insurance listed for when we send referrals, order imaging tests, or process labs using your insurance! Please be sure the information is in the app to avoid any delays later on!

Direct communication with Dr. Barrett via the app
Longer, more thoughtful visits
Same-day or next-day appointments
Wholesale medications, discounted labs and imaging
Personalized, preventative-focused care

After-Hours Support:
Urgent needs don’t always follow a 9–5 schedule! If you have a time sensitive concern after hours, please call Dr Barrett at the office number– 919-263-0555. (It may go to voicemail if I can’t answer immediately– leave a message and I’ll return the call ASAP). Non-urgent questions may be sent through messaging and will be answered during business hours, and for any life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest ER!
